How to set up your profile
Please follow the step-by-step guide below to learn how to set up your profile and remain anonymous, if you choose to do so. When you are first invited to join the blog, you will be asked to set up a profile. If you did not do so then, or would like to change your profile, please use the following steps.
1. On the main page of blog, click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top left corner.
2. A list of blog users will appear along the left hand side of the screen. Scroll down until you find your profile. Click "visit profile" under your display name.
3. Click the orange "edit profile" button in the top right corner of the screen.
4. Choose your privacy and identity preferences. This is where you can choose if people will be able to see your profile, email address, and other bloggers sites that you follow. Only share the information that you are comfortable with others viewing. If you would prefer to stay completely private, you can unselect the box that says "share my profile". You are also able to choose your display name here. Feel free to use your real name, or a name that you make up.
5. Continue scrolling down the page to customize the rest of your profile. You may choose to select a profile photo from your computer, leave it blank, or choose a photo from the web. If you would like to remain anonymous, please select a neutral photo, such as an outdoor scene. In the URL boxes, you could choose to share a website URL, if you have a blog or helpful resource to share. Also, you may specify your gender if you feel comfortable. Continue scrolling down to see other text boxes that you may fill out, if you feel comfortable. There are options to share your location, work, and interests.
6. Make sure that when you have finished editing your profile that you click the orange "save profile" button in the bottom left corner.
7. Lastly, if you would like to check how your profile looks to others, you can click "view updated profile."
